The Valley Humane Society was formed in 1966 to provide shelter for homeless dogs and cats in Casa Grande, Arizona. From those humble beginnings, we are proud to have successfully helped tens of thousands of animals, across our 60+ year history, in our still humble setting. While our primary focus is on serving our local community, we help meet the needs of animals throughout Arizona and beyond.
Our Story
Our services are simple and straightforward. We provide a safe haven and passionate care for abandoned, unwanted, homeless pets, and we strive to find them good homes. We are extremely proud of being amongst the family of 'No Kill' animal organizations.

To provide a safe haven for unwanted or abandoned pets, to place animals in loving adoptive homes, and to prevent the overpopulation of dogs and cats through spay and neuter programs.
Mission Statement
1. The Valley Humane Society is a private, non-profit 501c(3) organization
2. We receive no public funding
from any government source or from any other animal welfare organization, national or local.
3. Our shelter survives on donations and volunteer assistance.
Financial Status
The Valley Humane Society is well known in the Casa Grande community. We were voted the community's top nonprofit organization in 2025.
